Life is Calling YOU

You are braver than you think, more talented than you realize.” R. Bennett

I watched a documentary on the pyramids recently and learned something that made me hopeful, while confirming what I have already felt intuitively. We are moving out of a dark age; a time characterized by strife, plunder, disease and war in which males dominate while women are feared, subjugated and degraded. The good news is that we are now entering a golden age; one in which women rise, and a state of equality between men and women occurs.

We have been experiencing the effects of a dark age for centuries and a shift is not only occurring but gaining momentum. We are waking up to a period of enlightenment in which the importance of our value and leadership as women is evident. And we must rouse ourselves to see our worth in order to draw upon our strength and courage to usher in all new possibilities, not only for ourselves but for the restoration of men. We are called to be courageous, decisive, discerning and compassionate in use of our power and gifts, including our intuition, rising in leadership on every front, in every way, to bring about a much-needed balance in our world at this time.

We play a role in this shift. For example, my daughter was working for a company that was hiring across the US. She told me that all the male applicants were seeking a much higher salary than the women. She thought had she found one woman who knew her worth, only to discover it was a man named Kim! As women, we must realize how we habitually and unconsciously, play a role in the perpetuation of this imbalance when we can choose otherwise. To rise takes awareness coupled with determination, intention, purpose, and care. Remember you have personal power, and must determine to change, so you bring about equality without blame or reproaches towards yourself or towards men in this process.

I am still amazed to see how the cards are currently stacked and the work that remains to be done. This work is not necessarily an activist role, although that has been and continues to be important. I mean the most work of determining how your everyday decisions and experiences can best reflect your worth. You must remove your resistance to receiving what you most desire and deserve. Listen to your profound inner wisdom, and realize you are desperately needed now to be your best self. You are called to first be happy, loved, cherished, valued and validated so that your gifts explode forth from you with much support. Roll up your sleeves and be willing to rise. Here are just a few suggestions to help:

  1. Seek support, whether it be financially, socially, mentally, emotionally, in your work, your relationships, health, and community until you find approaches and people that cause you to be inspired. Then share what you learn and experience with others who are seeking to grow too. There is no such thing as asking for too much support, because you deserve to be supported. Intend to be supported. Pray to be supported. Seek it and don’t settle for anything less than what feeds your mind, body and soul fully. You are supposed to take up space; it’s vital that you do so and thrive.

  1. Live into your passions and dreams no matter how small or insignificant, or lofty and impractical you fear them to be. Remember, you have a purpose and gifts needed to support the love and healing of our planet. Fulfilling your dreams is in itself a validation of the life you live and the divinity and worth within you. It inspires others to know and do the same. I would wish upon every person the joy I have experienced for saying yes to myself and to making the contributions I provide as a powerful change agent leader.

  1. Go out of your way to embrace change and question everything so you do not suffer from the false idea that all discomfort should be avoided. Be willing to dismantle some of the traditional thinking and behaviors with the same attitude you’d have about upgrading your phone or computer. Be excited about what’s next, realizing change in these areas is just a sign of the advancements now possible. Do the same with long-standing traditional thinking and behaviors, so that you can see options for equity, empowerment and connection that you never dreamed were possible.

  1. Live determined to make a positive difference in the world because that is where your greatest happiness lies. I believe women are most qualified to recognize and encourage this in others. You may be tempted to be derailed into seeking short-term self-gratification at the cost of the greater fulfillment that comes when everyone wins. You believe in and represent win/win, inclusion, and peace. You bring the gifts of nurturing collaboration and community and when you do, everyone is helped to build what makes the world work wonderfully!

My mission is the create a world in which all people (of every age, race and persuasion) love their lives. I want each to LOVE their lives and to love THEIR lives. I want YOU to love yours too; the one you are called to live because LIFE IS CALLING YOU. I look forward to seeing the effects of your heartfelt, resounding YES!
